Don’t Let Us Down, Communities Tell Elected Politicians

Members of communities living at the Ajegunle/Boundary area in Ifelodun-Ajeromi Local Government Area of Lagos State have urged the people elected to represent them at the National Assembly to keep to their promises to bring about the needed development in the area.

They said this was the only way the elected members of the National Assembly could be voted for again when the need arose in future.

Speaking with Lagos Bulletin, representatives of the communities said the era when people were voted into office without reverting to the people in terms of developing their communities was over.

“Elected public office holders must be held accountable on what they have promised the people and if they fail to deliver, we will ensure they don’t return to the seats again,” they echoed, adding that they shouldn’t forget that it was the trust reposed in them that made the people to vote for them and as such, must not let them down.
