Election Victory: ACN Thanks Lagosians

The Lagos State chapter of the Action Congress of Nigeria has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to the people of Lagos State for voting overwhelmingly for Governor Raji Fashola and the ACN in the last general elections.

The party says that by that grand gesture of tremendous goodwill, the good people of Lagos have demonstrated their overwhelming support for the wonderful works the ACN has been doing in Lagos for the past twelve years and promised that the party will improve for the betterment of Lagosians in the years ahead.

In a release in Lagos, signed by the Lagos State Publicity Secretary of the ACN, Joe Igbokwe , the party says that the massive support the party received in the last general election is a tonic to do better and ensure that the dream of a great state where no man is oppressed is realised.

It therefore assures Lagosians that the ACN government will improve on the wonderful achievements that have mobilised Lagosians massively behind the party and the government of Governor Fashola.

“While we know very well that the good people of Lagos know and appreciate good performance, we were indeed flatterd by the total support Lagosians gave to our party in the last general elections. Even as we know that it is a great approval rating for the wonderful works that we have been going on in Lagos for the past twelve years, we see that total support as a challenge to do better and deliver critical dividends of dmocracy for Lagos to get better and become the dream state for the majority of Nigerians who know no other place as home than Lagos.”

According to the party, “We want to assure Lagosians that their message of solidarity and support to us is well understood and that the party will not relent in ensuring that Lagos becomes the mega city of our time where all Nigerians will find shelter in the midst of turmoil that has hit the country from terrible leadership experience. We want to assure Lagosians that Lagos will continue to be a lodestar in the Nigerian firmament, in terms of good and effective governance and that the ACN government will continue to show the way in good and responsible leadership. We want to promise Lagosians that Lagos under the ACN government will witness a continuation of the great recovery and transformation that will chart the way for effective development in the years ahead.

We want to assure that we treasure such good faith and we will do all within our capacity to replicate this good gesture.
