Supervisory Councillors, Others Congratulate Fashola, ACN

The Supervisory Councilors and Special Assistants to the chairmen in the 57 local governments and local council development areas in Lagos state, southwest Nigeria, have congratulated the state governor, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola and other elected members of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), for their victory at the just concluded general elections.

Mr. Kunle Kadir, Supervisor for Health, Lagos Island Local Government, spokesperson for the political appointees stated this during a chat with newsmen

Kadir said the re-election of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola shows that the people of the state strongly believe in the party and the good works that the governor in doing in the state, adding that the party’s victory in Ogun and Oyo states equally showed that the people of those states are tired of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).

Kadir also commended Professor Attahiru Jega, the INEC chairman, for conducting a free and fair election which was adjudged to be credible by the international community. He added that if past elections in the country had been conducted in the manner it was done by Jega, the country would not have witnessed crisis which would have to be resolved by election tribunals.

He also urged the INEC boss to work on green areas so that subsequent elections would be hitch-free.
