Amstel Malta Hits Campuses

Amstel Malta has assembled leading musicians and comedians for a nationwide campus tour in a new brand activation tagged Amstel Malta Showtime.

The new project, a unique experiental platform which seeks to connect with the Nigerian youth through different genres of entertainment, will be staged in select university campuses around Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

“Amstel Malta Showtime is about showcasing the best of the Nigerian youth-established, upcoming and latent. We are focusing on university students who think they have what it takes to be the best, who will get a chance to perform on the same stage with the best of stars in various entertainment genres such as music, poetry, comedy and dance,” said Jacco van der Linden, Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc.

The list of musical acts who will perform at the selected locations include M.I., Banky W, Wizkid, Mo’Cheddah, Kas, Jesse Jagz, Ice Prince and Skuki, while the comedians are Omobaba, Gandoki, Seyi Law and Bovi.

Dance Na the Main Thing and Xplicit are the dance groups which will feature on the bill, creating flavour and excitement with their deft dance steps.

Proven poets such as Jeffrey Plumbline and Sage will also be on ground to recite thought-provoking poems.

The show is expected to kick off on 20 May at the University of Abuja and followed by Ahmadu Bello University, University of Nigeria, Nsukka and University of Calabar.

Others are University of Benin, University of Ibadan and University of Lagos.
