Liberia Celebrate S/Final Berth

It was a celebration galore in the camp of Liberia following their 2-1 victory in their second match against Niger Republic in the on going WAFU Nations Cup.

When P.M. Sports visited their hotel, Fajol Castle at 8p.m on Monday, some of the players were singing local songs while others were receiving calls from friends and relatives back home.

Head of Liberia delegation, Paye Kulah expressed happiness that the Liberia U-23 team have made the country proud by reaching the semi final of the WAFU Cup.

He disclosed that there was jubilation in the city of Monrovia and other parts of the country after the team’s victory over Niger Republic .

“I have been receiving a lot of calls immediately we finished our match against Niger Republic. Some of the officials from the Sports Ministry and members of the Liberia Football Association back home commended our impressive performance,” he beamed.
