Kaduna Governor- elect, Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa and 54 out of the 55 other members elected into the National Assembly and State Assembly got their certificates of return today.
The event which took place at the Kaduna Headquarters of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, was conducted amid tight security.
The INEC National Commissioner for Kwara, Federal Capital Territory, Niger and Kaduna states, Dr. Chris Imoga presided over the certificate presentation to the 54 recipients, including the Deputy Governor-elect, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero.
Former Finance Minister, Esther Nenadi Usman who won the Southern Kaduna Senatorial district election on the platform of PDP was the only elected person that was absent at the occasion.
P.M.NEWS later gathered that she travelled out of the state.
Yakowa who spoke on behalf of the recipients dedicated their victory to corps members who died as a result of the presidential post-election violence in the state.
He also assured families of those who lost loved ones during the crisis of adequate compensation.
The governor, however, called on other elected persons, particularly CPC members in the state, to work to toward ensuring progress in the state.
