The Ajisakin-RTEAN Football Competition for U-15 boys begins on Sunday, 15 May and will end on 19 June at the Oriwu Model College playground, Ikorodu.
The tourney is sponsored by Chief Sulaimon Onabanjo, the Ajisakin of Efireland. organiser of the competition, Ikorodu Youths Soccer Association told P.M.Sports that 20 teams have registered for the maiden edition of the tournament.
During the public presentation of the trophy to the organiser, Chief Onabanjo, who is also the chairman, Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) Ayangburen-Ikorodu Zone and the Vice Chairman of the RTEAN, Lagos chapter, promised to make the competition a yearly event.
“This tourney is organised to bring out the talent in our youth and to take them away from social vices,†he said.
