The Southwest zone of the Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners, NARTO, has congratulated Lagos State governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, on his victory during the April 26, 2011 governorship election.

Addressing newsmen at the zonal office of NARTO in Somolu, Lagos, the chairman of the Southwest zone of the association, Chief Fatai Olatunde Gbesan said Fashola’s performance in the last four years contributed to his landslide victory at the polls.

Gbesan advised the governor to continue with his good work for the benefit of Lagosians, adding that his association decided to support his party and vote massively for him and other ACN governorship candidates in the Southwest because of the transformation taking place in Lagos state and other states controlled by ACN.

“The Southwest NARTO comprising Oyo, Ondo, Lagos, Osun, Ogun and Ekiti states urge Fashola to include the association in the BRT transport scheme and rehabilitate all the roads in Lagos, including the completion of the Lagos-Badagry 10-lane expressway to enhance movement of goods, passengers and to facilitate economic activities across the state,” he added.
