Radio Drama On Nutrition Debuts

NUNU Nutritious Living, an educative, entertaining and interactive radio drama, is set to hit the airwaves, targetting the family as its primary audience but with particular emphasis on the mother.

The move, according to its producers, Creativa Vinedax, is borne out of the need to re-launch Nutricima’s flagship brand, NUNU Milk and also to make Nigerians more aware of the United Nations International Children’s Fund’s discovery that most ailments are preventable and can be treated with appropriate diet and nutrition, just as nutrition experts have discovered that children who eat balanced diet perform better in school as their brains and bodies get the essential nutrients needed for optimum performance.

Olumide Ofere of Creativa Vinedax, said NUNU Nutritious Living with its message of ‘Nutrition and Nurture,’ is geared towards educating Nigerians on the importance of balanced family nourishment.

“You are fundamentally what you eat, as healthy living and balanced nutrition is the essence of life.”

NUNU Nutritious Living places strong emphasis on mothers, based on their roles as the builders of the home while children who influence purchase decisions are also not left out as the radio programme aims to catch them young and help them develop a good habit of healthy nutrition.

Set to begin airing in May, NUNU Nutritious Living will be aired on radio stations in Lagos, Anambra, Oshogbo, Ibadan and Kano in languages such as English, Yoruba, Hausa and Pidgin English.

The programme, produced for by Creativa Vinedax, according to the producers, will be an arresting feature for all as it promises to open doors of healthy living to Nigerian families.
