Alive video of the controvercial fuji singer, Saidi Osupa, has been banned by the Music Advertisement Association of Nigeria (MAAN).

P.M.Entertainment gathered that the work, Charles Olumo Agbako At 84, was banned by the association because it contains offensive songs and interview which was against the resolution by MAAN and the artistes in September 2010.

It was also gathered that the work, which was to be released by Easy Films and Records International, contains live performance by Saheed Osupa and an offensive interview allegedly directed at a fellow fuji artiste.

Defending MAAN’s action, its National President, Alhaji Waheed Oyediran of Mosebolatan Records, said apart from Osupa, the works of Alfa Rsheed Asiraoja entitled Buhari fe te and others, have been banned by the association because of their content.

“We want the best for the music industry, we don’t want a situation whereby a promoter will set two artistes against each other for commercial gain,” said the MAAN boss, who vowed it is a fight to the finish until sanity is restored to the music industry.

He said the association will continue to ban offensive works until the artistes and promoters learn to understand and respect the resolution.
