CPC Warns Fake Progressives

National Vice Chairman, South East of the Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Mr. Austin Amaechi, said on Tuesday that fake progressive elements in the party would be unmasked while political jobbers would soon be defeated.

He disclosed this in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.

He spoke on the backdrop of a conference organised recently by some chairmen of the party in the entire southern zone of the country. The chairmen had in the conference, dissociated themselves from the petition filed by the party‘s leadership, challenging the conduct of the April presidential election and its outcome.

Amechi described the action of the chairmen as “misleading and an attempt to score cheap political goal.”He said the chairmen had been suspended from the party for anti-party practices.

He said the view of the chairmen was not a true representation of the entire zone, adding that they were being guided by selfish interest.

Amechi, however, pledged the continued support of the party‘s members in the South East zone to its leadership and its petition against the conduct and outcome of the April presidential election.
