Vice chancellors of various universities in Africa have brainstormed on how to tackle the challenges of climate change in the world and Africa in particular.
After three days of brainstorming, deliberations and debates at their second joint international conference themed Climate Change and Sustainable Development held at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, the university dons charted the ways forward for the climate change.
The conference attracted 167 papers presented by scholars from 42 institutions across seven countries and the stakeholders agreed on certain remedies to the challenges of climate change.
According to a communique signed by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Professor Is-haq Oloyede and his counterpart at the University of Cape Coast, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, they vowed to continue with the effort.
