Family Denies Buhari Oloto
The Esinlokun Isooku Amusa Royal Family has declared that Alhaji Buhari Oloto is not the head of the family.
A statement dated 16 May, 2011, signed by Chief Sikiru Ademola Agbeleye, on behalf of the family and sent to P.M.NEWS, read: “Our attention has been drawn to a publication in your newspaper of Thursday, 21 April, 2011(Page 7) titled: ‘Oba Canvasses Support For Fashola, Others’ in which Alhaji Oloto described himself as the Olori Ebi of Itire, Ojota and Oregun Royal Families.
“There is no problem if Oloto claims to be the head of Itire Royal Family but we feel compelled to tell the world that Alhaji Buhari Oloto is not the Olori Ebi of Ojota and Oregun Families.”
Agbeleye disclosed that “Oloto is not a bonafide member of Ojota and Oregun families,” adding that the matter is currently in court (suit No ID/683/05).
“In view of this, we believe that Chief Buhari Oloto’s claim is prejudicial and we will appreciate if you‘ll make the necessary correction,” he added.
