Students Urged To Be Good Ambassadors
Honourable Wale Odunlami, Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government Area, Lagos State, southwest, Nigeria, has urged students to be good ambassadors anywhere they may find themselves.
Odunlami gave the advice at the valedictory service organised for the 2010/2011 graduating students of Cambridge College, Lagos, recently. He urged the students to be good ambassadors of the country and project a good image of the school.
He commended the graduating students for their academic performance and behaviour and urged them to keep up the good record.
Some of the graduands that spoke with P.M.NEWS were happy to have passed through the school, which they said has moulded them to face the realities of life.
Master Gbadebo Tobi said, “the school has taught me how to be a solution instead of a problem waiting to be solved.”
Another graduand, Miss Afolayan Anuoluwapo said, “with hard work, determination, seriousness and a strong faith in God, it will lead to success and take you to greater heights.”
Mr. Fayemi Augustine, the institution’s Human Resources Manager, described the 15 years old school as an unequalled centre for academic excellence.
“There are schools and there are schools, but here at Cambridge, this is an institution where the best in education, moral and all what a child needs to survive in life it given to them. Our school has no equal.”
