A chieftain of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Alhaji Olanrewaju Mohammed, has said that the success of the party in the last general elections in Lagos State could be attributed to the foundation laid by the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Raji Fashola.

Mohammed, who is the Financial Secretary of ACN in Lagos, said he was not surprised that the party cleared all the elective posts in Lagos with nothing left for the opposition parties.

According to Mohammed, who is the General Coordinator of the BRF Wrestlemania, an intercontinental wrestling tourney which is in the pipeline to honour Governor Fashola, “ACN was able to clear all the elective posts in Lagos because of the good work of our national leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos and Nigerian politics. I can boldly say that we also won the elections due to the leadership quality of Governor Fashola and the good work he has done to affect positively the life of the people of Lagos State.”

Mohammed, who said Lagosians have not yet seen the good work of the returnee governor, wants the people to support the government of ACN in Lagos.

“The governor has promised that he won’t abandon the good work and the legacy Tinubu began before he assumed office in 2007. This is a promise that we should support Fashola to fulfill. He is a visionary leader and a man of honour that will not disappoint the people that voted him to power,” he said.

He also gave kudos to the leadership quality of the executives of ACN in Lagos, adding that the Henry Ajomale-led executive should be commended for the success of the party in Lagos.
