Former leader, Odogbolu Local Government legislative arm, Akorede Ismail Osibanjo, 35, was murdered last night by unidentified gunmen in Ijebu- Ode, Southwest Nigeria.

Mosun Cafe situated along Odo Egbo road, Ijebu-Ode around 9 pm.
An eyewitnes reported that the killers who were four in number covered their faces before carrying out their dastardly act.
It was further gathered that the assailants fled with the deceased’s Toyota Camry XLE, cream colour car with registration number LGC 01 DGB and left their Mercedes Benz car at the scene of the incident.
The killers shot into the air while escaping after shooting him in the right thigh and left him bleeding profusely..
Osobanjo died at a private hospital, Olu Ola Hospital along Awujale Street, Ijebu-Ode and his corpse was deposited at the General Hospital mortuary along Omo Owo road in Ijebu-Ode.
His corpse was later taken away and buried, according to Islamic rite in his home town in Imosan.
PMNEWS gathered that the deceased lost his elder brother, Kamorudeen Osibanjo on 1 May, 2011.
He left behind an aged mother, a pregnant wife, Selimot and a 2-year old baby girl, Fathiat.
