In an emotion-laden valedictory session today, Governor Babatunde Fashola bade his cabinet members farewell.

The valedictory session was held at the Executive Chamber of the State House, Ikeja where the commissioners and special advisers gathered for the last time in this administration.

With the valdictory session, Fashola, thus, formally dissolved the cainet in line with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

There were lots of huggings and emotions on display as cabinet members bid farewell to the governor who will still remain in power for another four years.

Aside the governor, the cabinet members also bade themselves farewell as some of them are going their separate ways to pursue their various life endeavours.

Cabinet members who spoke at the valedictory session were full of praise for the governor for giving them the opportunity to serve and contribute their quota to the development of the state.

They were particularly happy for being part of the success story of the transfformation of Lagos State in the last four years.

The commissioners praised Fashola for being so rugged in the discharge of his services to the state and wished him well in his remaining four years in ofice and promised to always be available when their services were needed by the government. Deputy Governor of the state, Princess Sarah Sosan thanked the governor for the opportunity given to her to serve, saying she was a fulfilled woman.

Speaking,Fashola was grateful to his cabinet members for standing astutely by him in a bid to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of the state and wished them well in their future endeavours.

He attributed the success he achieved so far to the cooperation of the cabinet members and thanked them with all his heart.

Some of the commissioners bowing out today are Muiz Banire in charge of the Environment Ministry, Prince Adeniji Adele-Sports; Supo Sasore-Justice Ministry; Ben Akabueze-Economic Planning and Budget.

Others are: Tokunbo Afikuyomi-Tourism and Intergovernment Relations, Rotimi Agunsoye-Local Government; Prof. Bamidele Badejo-Transportation, Dr. Olajide Idris-Health, etc.
