Jonathan Asks Ministers To Carry On
The Federal Executive Council held its last meeting today at Aso Rock presidential villa.

But contrary to expectations of many Nigerians that the Ministers will be asked to go home ahead of inauguration of President Jonathan for a fresh term of office on 29 May, the Council was not dissolved.
The meeting was presided over by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Labaran Maku, the Minister of Information and Communications who briefed journalists after the meeting said though the present Executive Council held its last meeting today, the Council has not been dissolved.
According to him, President Jonathan had asked Ministers to continue in their duties until he issued a contrary directive.
Some reports had earlier indicated that the Council will be dissolved next Monday.
There was no substantive issue discussed today as Maku told reporters that the President ask the Ministers to narrate their experience in government, their experience of working with him and their recommendations for improvement of government activities.
