Kick boxing Seminar Ends In Lagos

Kick Boxing Federation of Nigeria (KBFN) has concluded its technical workshop for coaches, referees and judges.

The event which was held at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos , was organised to update the technical knowledge of the officials.

Speaking at the end of the seminar, Secretary General of the federation, Mrs. Olabisi Odubote, stated that the officials should see the seminars as an opportunity to update themselves with latest techniques, rules and regulations governing kick boxing.

She further stated that the federation will continue to keep the officials abreast with innovations in the world of kick boxing as it unfolds.

“We are impacting knowledge of kick boxing on our coaches, referees, and judges so that they would be at par with their counterparts around the world.

“We cannot afford to lag behind in the scheme of things hence the need for us to organise this kind of seminar to equip our officials with the technical know how in the game,” she said.

“We expect the coaches present at this seminar to pass on what they have learnt to other coaches who could not make this event.”

The two days seminar witnessed impressive turn out from states’ kickboxing associations. It was gathered that at least 24 states were represented including The Nigeria Police, Civil Defence, and The Nigeria Army.
