Eagles Can Beat Argentina —Odegbami

Former Nigerian international, Olusegun Odegbami, yesterday in Abuja expressed confidence that Nigeria’s Super Eagles would overcome Argentina in their 1 June international friendly.

Odegbami said at the unveiling of “The Conquest” that the Eagles had all the requirements to win the game.The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN reports that the match tagged; “Guinness the Match” is scheduled for the Abuja National Stadium.

Odegbami who captained the then Green Eagles, said he is sure Coach Samson Siasia and his Eagles would win the match.

“Whoever wins the beautiful trophy at stake would have really deserved it. But I think the match will not end in a draw.It will be a win for the Eagles because I am sure they will go away from the stadium with the trophy as they have the quality to win it,” he said.

Also speaking on the Eagles’ chances against Argentina, former captain of the Green Eagles, Christian Chukwu said: “Nigeria and Argentina have met at the senior level three times before now, and this will be their fourth meeting. But I know our players have all it takes to win this encounter.
