The Lagos State Government has appealed to Lagosians to use and protect roads so that they may last longer, reports DEDEIGBO AYODEJI.
The Executive Chairman, Lagos State Public Works Corporation, Engr. Gbenga Akintola said government is currently repairing most of the roads while others have already been rehabilitated to ensure people enjoy dividends of democracy.
He told P.M. NEWS yesterday in Lagos during an inspection of the roads in Victoria Island that there was a remarkable progress in road construction in the State. Engr. Akintola also encouraged the people of Lagos to maintain the roads and keep drainages clean so that the roads may last longer.
Some of the roads inspected yesterday in Victoria Island are Ozumba Nbadiwe, Idowu Martins, Akin Olugbade, Kofo Abayomi among others.
