Four years after the release of the first Renault Logan, the French auto company has introduced a new version of the celebrated Renault Logan (saloon and MCV) through their accredited franchisee Alliance Autos, a subsidiary of CFAO Group in Lagos, Nigeria.

The new vehicle comes with the same proven petrol engines that have contributed to the success story of the Logan. The 1.6 MPI 90 hp complies with the criteria for cost, robustness and ease of maintenance.

The Logan stands out as a modern saloon with more contemporary exterior lines, which reflect it’s robust, quality build. The new front bumper is flush with the bodywork for a more integrated, harmonious feel, while the headlights are bigger and the fog lamps come with elegant carbon color.

Also showcased was the Renault Duster. A typical European brand, solidly built with an array of modern facilities. It is a versatile vehicle which combines a spacious interior of a Sport Utility Vehicle with the saloon car comfort.

Starting at about N3 million, the Duster is equipped with a six speed manual transmission and 1.6 litre petrol engine. The Renault Duster boasts high fuel efficiency, available in 4×2 or 4×4 versions.

According to Alliance Auto’s spokesperson Harpreet Arora, The Logan, Duster and Logan MCV are part of the first batch of six new Renault vehicles scheduled for the Nigerian market before the end of 2011.

Information made available indicated that the Duster 4×2 version has been designed for customers who want good ground clearance and a reassuring elevated driving position as well as loose surface ability, but who don’t have a real need for an all wheel drive.

In terms of safety, Renault said, “Duster is a true off road vehicle. It’s muscular design is that of a true adventure, but it is also at ease in town, with it’s elegant style, chromed radiator grill and double epic front lamps.”
