Youths Make Case For Former Adviser
A youth organisation in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area of Lagos State, Ajeromi Youth Vanguard, has appealed to the leadership of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Lagos State to consider the former Adviser the the governor on Rural Development, Mr. Kalejaye Paul, position of a commissioner.
Comrade Jamiu Jaiyesinmi, who made the appeal on behalf of the group said that Paul was part of the success recorded by Fashola’s administration and as such, he deserves to be given another opportunity in the governor’s incoming cabinet.
The youth leader recalled that many rural communities got electricity, good roads and functional health centres, particularly Ibeju-Lekki, Epe, Ikorodu and Badagry, during his tenure as an Adviser.
Jayesinmi also noted that many rural communities in Lagos benefited from the state government’s development projects because those who were given assingments worked tirelessly to ensure success of the administration and the reason a dedicated official like Paul should be allowed to continue to with Fashola.
Describing the former Adviser as a good ambassador of the youths in Ajeromi-Ifelodun having assisted them in the areas of education, vocational training, job placement and women empowerment through personal effort, among other things, Jayesinmi disclosed that over 1,000 youths and women in the area benefited from Kalejaye while in office.
