Former French Open champion Roger Federer this evening eased into the last eight at Roland Garros with a 6-3 6-2 7-5 win over the 14th seed, Stanislas Wawrinka.

Federer, who has yet to concede a set, produced a clinical display to see off his fellow Swiss with minimal fuss.

Wawrinka, according to bbcsports, led 3-0 in the third set, but Federer quickly recovered and was otherwise untroubled.
