Argentina Arrive For Clash With Nigeria
A 30-man delegation of Argentina’s senior national football team landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja Sunday evening aboard Lufthansa Airline.
The team, that will battle the Super Eagles of Nigeria in an international friendly match in Abuja on Wednesday, was led by Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaletta.
General Manager of the team Hernan Tofoni said the delegation was impressed by the ease with which members passed through immigration at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and looked forward to a good stay and a great match at the National Stadium.
The team was conveyed to the Transcorp Hilton Hotel by a Marcopolo Luxury Bus.
Wednesday’s match will be the biggest international friendly for the Nigeria senior team after their clash with five-time world champions Brazil in June 2003.
Meanwhile, Eagles skipper, Joseph Yobo and his teammates are expected to hit camp fully by Monday morning to begin training immediately.
