Children’s Day: Lagos Tasks Parents

The Lagos State Government has tasked parents in Lagos to monitor the performances of their children in school and ensure thorough supervision of their academic works.

Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Mrs. Omolara Erogbogbo gave this advice during the Children’s Day celebration at the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos, South West Nigeria.

According to her, close monitoring of children’s performances in the school would help them know the areas to work on to improve their wards’ performances.

“We must also ensure that we monitor their friends and associates so that they will not fall into wrong hands that will sway them off the right path,” she advised.

Erogbogbo also urged teachers not to relent on their oars in giving the best to the children, but to continue to assist the government in education delivery.

She commended the teachers for their commitment and hardwork in grooming the children and prayed to God to give them good health and long life to reap the fruit of their labour.
