Eagles Stranded, As Jonathan’s Guests Stay Put In Hotel

Players of the senior national team, the Super Eagles had it very rough before they were fully accommodated into their Transcorp Hilton Hotel camp in Abuja yesterday.

The coach Samson Siasia-led team, who were expeted to hit camp last weekend were urged to delay their arrival till yesterday because of president Goodluck Jonathan’s inauguration, as the hotel was fully booked for the guests of the President.

Jonathan hosted a large delegation of government officials, cabinet ministers, captains of industry, members of the Diplomatic Corp and other dignitaries, who are yet to fully check out of their rooms till this morning.

Although, a few of the Heads of State and Governments from other countries, who attended Sunday’s inauguration of President Jonathan, have vacated their rooms, some are expected to leave today.

Midfielder Kalu Uche, defender Dele Adeleye, keeper Dele Aiyenugba, striker Emma Emenike, who just signed for Fenerbache and Isaac Promise were delayed for hours before they were checked into their rooms.
