New Ogun Governor Makes Key Appointments
Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state has appointed Taiwo Adeluwa as the new Secretary to the Government. Also appointed is Mrs. Olufunmilayo Wakama as Special Adviser on Media and Communications.
In a statement, Wakama said the new secretary to the government, is the Manager Partner of Taiwo Adeoluwa and Associates, a firm of legal practitioners based in Lagos.
The 48-year-old Adeoluwa is an Alumnus of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. The Nigerian Law School and University of Lagos.
Funmilayo Wakama’s appointment was announced today.
According to statement issued by Oluremi Obayomi, Permanent Secretary in the Information and Orientation Ministry, Wakama is a broadcast journalist on leave of absence from mthe Nigerian Television Authority, Abuja to the International Republican Institute, where he is a programme manager in-charge of Media and Outreach.
The Special Adviser, whose appointment is with immediate effect is a graduate of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, where he got a Prograduate Diploma in Public Relations and Journalism.
She also has a Masters Degree in Public Administration. Earlier, Governor Ibikunle Amosun met with top civil servants, including the Head of the Civil Service, Pricess Iyabo Odulate, and Permanent Secretaries.
Amosun departed the presidential lodge, Ibara in Abeokuta, the state capital, at 7:15 a.m. and arrived the government’s office, Oke-Mosan, 15 minutes after.
He was received by Odulate and other top government officials.
During an interaction with the top officials, the governor urged the civil servants to co-operate with his administration and offer useful suggestions on how tomove the state to a greater height.
The Head of Service pledged total support of the civil service to the new governor.
