The Police Public Relations Officer, Mallam Lawal Abdullahi, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri that the police had mapped out strategies to ensure that the killers were arrested.

“The killing is unfortunate, especially considering the efforts being made by the police to ensure security of lives and property in the state.

“I want to assure you that we have spread our dragnets all over the state in search of the killers. I can assure you that we will get them sooner or later,’’ he said.

Abdullahi said the Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar, had introduced numerous strategies to end the attacks by suspected militants in the state.
