NOUN Facilitators Grumble Over Allowances

Some facilitators of the National Open University of Nigeria, NOUN, are grumbling over the non payment of their allowances, which runs into millions of naira.

P.M.NEWS learnt from some of the facilitators at the Abeokuta Study Centre in Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria that about N5000 per hour per unit course was approved by the management of NOUN for payment to them.

The said up till now, most of them have not been paid their allowances, even as they are expected to resume in the next few days for the second semester.

When P.M.NEWS sent an e-mail to Dr. Ronke Ogunmakin, director, Media for NOUN, she explained that it is on record that all Study Centre facilitators have been paid except those whose hours of facilitation were queried or are being investigated.

Ogunmakin asked the facilitators to be specific about the study centres where the claimed to be owed.
