The police in Lagos state Southwest Nigeria have arrested a man, Nosiru Bello after his landlord discovered AK 47 rifle with 13 bullets he hid in the ceiling of his room.

All of them are now trading blames on how they got the gun.

Nosiru claimed that it was Segun that gave him the gun to keep for him.

Segun confessed that he gave Nosiru the gun and ammunition because it was safe in his hands since they were friends.

He also confessed that they gave the gun to Charles who used it to travel for four days, but failed to say what he used it for during the days he travelled with it.

Nosiru who resides at 13, Mobolaji Junction, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos state, southwest Nigeria, hid the items in the ceiling not knowing that his landlord will do minor repairs in the house when he was not around.

It was during the repairs that the workers discovered the items and contacted the landlord, who reported to the police.

During the parade, the police public relations officer, Samuel Jinadu told journalists that during interrogation, the suspects confessed to being involved in several armed robbery operations in the past within Lagos and its environs.

He also said they mentioned other members of their gang and mentioned the name of their leader as Peter who is now at large.

The police are still interrogating the suspects.

When P.M.NEWS visited the house where the gun and ammunition were found, the landlord was not around to comment on the issue.

Residents also declined to speak on it and also refused to disclose the whereabouts of the landlord.
