Fresh and scandal-free actress will go home with a total sum of 2,500 US dollars at this year’s Best of Nollywood (BoN) awards which holds in November.
According to the organisers, the first set of categories which include fresh and scandal-free actresses in both English and Yoruba movies, will see the eventual winner go home with 2,500 US dollars and an all-expense paid trip to Doha.
Nominees for the awards in English language genre are Nse Etim Ikpe, Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha, Queen Okoye, Chika Ike, Bhaira Mc’Wisu and Mbong Amata, while Sola Asadeko tops the list in Yoruba language genre, which include Mistura Asunramu, Eniola Badmus of Gbogbo Bigz Girlz fame, Taiwo Aromokun, Abiodun Okeowo and the daughter of ANTP president, Sola Kosoko.
Contending for the promising act, male category, are Yomi Gold, Gbenga Animasaun, Seun Akindele, Trybson Dudu Koko and Zubby, while Bola Pius, Bidemi Kosoko, Moyo Lawal, Ivie Okujaye, Ejiro Okurame and Ure Eke will vie in the female category.
Top Nollywood actress, Ini-Edo Ehiagwina and winner of the last celebrity dance, Yemi Blaq, are expected to be the hosts of this year’s edition of the awards holding on Friday, 11 November, 2011.
