Robbers Attack LG Boss

The Chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area, Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria, Alhaja Falilat Ajilola, has been attacked by armed robbers.

She is presently on admission at a private hospital for wounds and shock she suffered during the robbery attack.

P.M.NEWS reliably gathered that the robbers, four of them fully armed, stormed the residence of the Chairman on Olusola Akingba Street, Ipaja, around 2am Sunday beating everyone in sight and carting away property and money from residents of the building.

Other members of the gang were believed to be outside the building as those operating were communicating with them.

People in the area said robbers who have been attacking residents of the area periodically always jump from the premises of the P&T located in the area and said it could be robbers’ hideout.

The large premises shares boundary with Baruwa, Boys Town, Akinyele and Oluwaga.

It was reported that the robbers had virtually robbed all the houses that share fence with the P&T compound.

According to a report by some of the residents, the robbers also operate in broad daylight when residents would have gone to work.

Cases of rape were also reported during such operations in the past.

During this last operation, three houses were said to have been robbed.
