Oba Wants Suspected Killer Fished Out

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Hafiz Ringim, has been commended for his effort to combat crime in the country while the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Yakub Alkali, was also hailed over the reduction of crime rate in the state within his short period as the state police boss.

Making the commendation was the monarch of Bariga in Bariga Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Oba Gbolahan Akanbi Timson, who also urged the state police chief to intensify efforts to fish out a suspected killer, who has been declared wanted by the police.

The suspect was alleged to have used thugs to invade a farmland that did not belong to him in Ikorodu, Lagos State. He was also said to have chased out the rightful owner and taken over the land.

In a special Police Bulletin with reference number CB:2685/FHQ/ABJ/09/05/11 issued from the Office of the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, “D” Department (FCID), Force Headquarters, Abuja, it was stated that the suspect aged between 45 and 50 with long, broad nose, large mouth, thick lips, round face and dark complexioned is wanted for murder, assault and unlawful possession of fire- arms. His last known address was at Ikorodu, Lagos.

He is also alleged to have led a group of hoodlums to physically attack and cause the death of Akeem Odegbaro. The police have, therefore, declared a handsome reward for any person or persons with information that could lead to his arrest.
