FG Reappoints FRSC Boss For 2nd Term

The Federal Government has re-appointed Osita Chidoka as Corps Marshal and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, for another 4 years’ term. His reappointment was conveyed in a ltter from the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim.

According to Adebisi Kazeem, the FRSC spokesman, the corps marshal’s re-appointment will no doubt, set the pace for the FRSC as leading agency in the nation’s road traffic administration and safety management. According to him, FRSC under Chidoka has within the last four years made tremendous impact on the nation’s highway through a 35% reduction in road traffic crashes and attraction of global partnership on road safety through the recent launch of the United Nation’s decade of action on road safety in Nigeria.

The re-appointment is in line with Section 7 (1) of the Federal Road Safety Commission Establishment Act 2007.
