Owners of business premises in Akute and environs have appealed to Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State to save them from the harassment of revenue collectors appointed by the outgone administration of Governor Gbenga Daniel.

The landlords accused the revenue collectors of harassing them to pay tenement and advertisement rates for signboards erected in the area.

They accused the officials of threatening to close down business enterprises and houses whose landlords refused to pay the rates.

Proprietor of a school in the area, Mrs. Alexandra Ojeaga revealed that she and others were about to pay the rates when they discovered that the officials did not have approval of the new ACN government in the state to collect the rates.

“I was about to pay mine, which is N10,000 when I discovered that they were ex-officials and not approved to collect tenement rates by the government of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN). “Governor Amosun should come to our aid and stop this harassment,” she pleaded.
