A chieftain of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Alhaji Olanrewaju Mohammed, has said that the success of the party in the last general elections in Lagos State could be attributed to the foundation laid by the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Raji Fashola.
Alhaji Mohammed, who is the Financial Secretary of ACN in Lagos, said he was not surprised that the party won all the elective posts in the state.
Mohammed, the General Coordinator of the BRF Wrestlemania, an intercontinental wrestling tourney now in the pipeline to honour Fashola, “ACN was able to win all the elective posts in Lagos because what of the good work of our national leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos and Nigerian politics. We also won the elections due to the leadership quality of Governor Fashola and the good work he has done to affect positively the lives of the people of Lagos State.â€
Mohammed said Lagosians have not yet seen the good work of the returnee governor and urged the people to support the ACN government in Lagos.
“The governor has promised that he won’t relent on the good work and the legacy Tinubu laid down before he assumed office in 2007. This is a promise that we should support Fashola to fulfill. He is a visionary leader and a man of honour that will not disappoint the people that voted him to power,†he said.
He also gave kudos to the executives of ACN in Lagos, adding that the Henry Ajomale-led executive should be commended for the success of the party in the state.
