The founder of Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Dr. Fredrick Fasheun and the National Coordinator of the Organisation, Otunba Gani Adams are again on war path.
The source of the quarrel this time is attributed to a statement made by Fasheun over the rebranding of OPC and the issuance of a new identity card for members of the organisation.
During a recent world press conference Dr Fasheun claimed that the organisation is being rebranded to identify original members from those who used the organisation to perpetrate evil.
Continuing he said: “the organisation is a borderless institution which membership is being claimed by people who do not know the organization …Though the mainstream organisation does not compromiseâ€
Reacting to Fasheunâ€
He accused Fasheun of not respecting the reconconcilatory agreement signed by both parties on 7 March, 2005 in the presence of Otunba Gbenga Daniel, the then Governor of Ogun State among other things.
Reacting to the allegation during a telephone chat, Dr. Fasheun said: “how can two or more people conceptualise an idea? Ask Gani whose abode is 110, Palm Avenue, Mushin where OPC was formed. I am the founder of OPC and as a democrat the rebranding has a democratic approach. I am educated enough to know my right from left, I donâ€
