It was celebration galore after the inauguration of lawmakers in Abuja recently when the Chairman of DAAR Communications, operators of RayPower and AIT, Dr. Raymond Dokpesi hosted friends and well wishers to a lavish dinner.
The high chief hosted the party for the Ifako-Ijaye contingent of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Asokoro, Abuja, to honour and welcome Otunba Yomi Ogunnusi to the House of Representatives.
Speaking at the event, Otunba Ogunnusi thanked the electorate for choosing him to represent them in the lower chambers of the National Assembly.
He said he was impressed by the large turn-out of people of Ifako-Ijaye constituency in Lagos during the exercise and commended their support and commitment to the party.
He also assured them of better representation to bring the dividends of democracy to their door steps.
Dokpesi described Ogunnusi’s victory as a triumph for progressive governance and it shows that Lagosians wanted effective democracy and transformation in the constituency.
Ogunnusi also praised the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his commitment and support in actualising the dream of the progressive across the south west zone and the legacy left behind by the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo.
