Coca-Cola Nigeria has reignited the Mystery Shopper campaign activation as part of its 125 years celebrations which was held recently.
First held in 2010, the campaign drew accolades from members of the public and built equity for the brand.
This campaign, an ingenious experiential marketing tactic, has several Mystery Shoppers around town to surprise and excite anyone found drinking Coca-Cola products with instant financial rewards.
According to Mr. Austin Ufomba, Marketing Director of Coca-Cola Nigeria, â€œthe Mystery Shopper concept is Coca-Colaâ€™s unique way of rewarding its consumers. We marked our 125 years anniversary a few weeks ago and this is one of the ways we chose to say ‘Thank You’ to our consumers. We owe the unmatched success and longevity of the Coca-Cola brand to them.â€
He stressed that every day in the month of June and beyond, â€˜Mystery Shoppersâ€™ will go out and randomly reward consumers in various parts of the city of Lagos after engaging them in fruitful discussion on why they prefer Coca-Cola products- which would be followed by the handsome reward.
The activation has already been generating excitement across Lagos since June 7 when it started, and more than 50 consumers have already been rewarded.
