The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCo) Aviance, has disclosed that it has budgeted $13 million (about N2 billion) to purchase state- of – the- art ground handling equipment this year.

The company will also raise a N5 billion bond, the newly confirmed Managing Director, Mr. Kayode Ojo, said at a press conference yesterday in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.

“Some of our equipment are as old as the company itself and of course, that has an impact on the efficiency of our staff. So, we took a deliberate decision by retooling the equipment.

“In 2009 and 2010, we spent $8 million on equipment and in 2011, we are spending $13 million on acquisition of equipment,” Ojo said.
