Youths Seek Party Intervention In Political Appointments

Concerned youths of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area of Lagos have called for the intervention of the leadership of the party in the appointment of members of the state executive council from the area.

The group, in a letter signed by Abayomi Peters and Sulaimon Akodu Lawal, appealed to the state chairman of the party, Otunba Henry Ajomale, to use his good offices to do justice in the appointment of political officials from the local government.

The statement reads in part: “We wish to let you know that the fortunes of the party is dwindling in Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area as a result of the uncertainty surrounding the inability of our leaders to arrive at an acceptable choice for state appointment. The names of individuals who are not known within the party and people who have wasted such slots given to them in the past are being recycled.

“We appeal that consideration for appointment from the area be given to someone like Comrade Muhammed Mutiu Adebayo Oluwa who we consider possesses the qualities we have highlighted, amongst the several names suggested,” it stated.

The group described Oluwa as a committed and loyal party member in the area, adding that he has also contributed immensely to the growth and continued progress of the party since the period of Alliance for Democracy, AD.
