JCI Takes Smoking Campaign To Schools

JCI Eko, a youth organisation, is again holding its quarterly seminar, JAYCESS Against Youth Smoking (JAYS), aimed at sensitising youths on the ills of smoking.The forum is holding this Wednesday, 22 June, at the Okesuna High School, Lagos Island, in Lagos.

Facilitators from the Lagos State Ministry of Health will be on ground to speak with the students and JCI Eko members will also train the participants on becoming active citizens.

A press release jointly signed by the organisation’s President, Akinsola Aladesanmi, and the Project Team Leader, Olamide Oladipupo, said the initiative is part of JCI Eko’s contribution to creating positive change in the society.

The first edition of the quarterly seminar, which was held at the Babs Fafunwa Senior Secondary School, Ojodu, in March, is planned to go round all the local government areas of the state.
