The traditional ruler of Ojo Kingdom in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State, Oba Galib Adeniyi Rufai Ade Ife I, has expressed gratitude to the former governor of the state and national leader of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his successor in office, Babatunde Raji Fashola, for their support and the goodwill extended to him on his journey to the throne.
He also thanked the former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, top government officials, the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Okikiola Akiolu, the chairman, Ojo Local Government, Murisique Yinka Durosinmi and top officials of the council as well as the people of Ojo Kingdom in general, for their kind gesture during and after his coronation.
This was during the celebration of his 90 days on the throne and performance of traditional rites held recently in Ojo, Lagos State.
According to the monarch, the celebration was meant to appreciate what God has done for him as well as the people of his domain for their support since he assumed office, pledging to give good governance, while appealing to them to continue to support him.
He used the opportunity of the occasion to call on the people of the community to continue to cooperate with the state government by paying their taxes promptly in order to enjoy more of the dividends of democracy. He also charged them to embrace peace and harmony as it had always been.
Many dignitaries from all walks of life witnessed the occasion. They include representatives of the state governor, Ojo council boss, traditional rulers and chiefs as well as other well wishers.
