A businessman, Mr. Jimoh Sulaimon has approached the Agege Grade ‘A’ Magistrate’s Court, Lagos to dissolve his marriage because his wife, Mrs. Kemi Sulaimon, is no longer responsible and he no longer loves her.
He prayed the court to grant him custody of his three children currently staying with his wife in her father’s house.
“My in-law is a christian and I want my children brought up in a muslim home,†he wrote.
The petitioner also described the respondent as a troublemaker who likes fomenting trouble.
In her response, Mrs. Kemi Sulaimon, accused the petitioner of being irresponsible, adding that since she left his house with the children, he refused to provide them with money for feeding, school fees and rent.
“He doesn’t know how to take care of children because each time the children come to stay with him, they always fall sick,†she stated.
