Make President’s Office A Model — Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday asked civil servants serving in the State House to make the Office of the President a model of efficiency and service delivery.

Jonathan stated this at a meeting with the management staffers and representatives of the civil servants at the State House.

“This is the highest office in the land and it should be the centre of excellence, so all departments and staff must know and discharge their responsibilities efficiently and effectively in order to make State House a model.

“We cannot afford any errors, since all we do is observed by key actors globally,” he said.

The President noted that it was the duty of all members of staff to share ideas with one another and work together, in order to improve the system.

He thanked the workers for their services, noting that similar meetings would be held in the future to enable exchange of ideas.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the State House, Dr. Ibrahim Daudu, had congratulated Jonathan for conducting “a world-acclaimed free and fair election’’, and for achieving a resounding victory in that election.

He said the State House workers were, “ready, able and capable’’ to offer all levels of support to enable the President discharge his responsibilities to Nigerians.

Daudu also thanked the President for the meeting.
