National Library Board Suspends 7 Over Misappropriation

The board of the National Library of Nigeria has suspended seven officers of its multipurpose cooperative society for three months for mismanaging N100m loan from Intercontinental Bank plc.

This was contained in an official bulletin of the National Library of Nigeria released in Abuja on Wednesday.

“The National Library board had observed, during its last meeting, that some members of the society’s executive committee received financial gratifications as well as mismanaged the N100m loan from the Intercontinental Bank.

“The board therefore suspends the chairman and six other members of the Staff Multi-purpose Cooperative Society,’’ the bulletin said.

The suspended staff are Usman Ibrahim (Chairman), Peter Ofokansi, Nelson Odili, Frank Ekeocha, Ruth Bature, Adebola B.M and Olatunji Ojo.
