The alleged leadership crisis in Benue State Chapter of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria has been described as a ruse by Bishop Jonas Katung, the National Vice President in charge of North Central Zone of PFN.
The cleric also directed that the status quo in the leadership should be maintained.
His position was contained in a statement made available to P.M.NEWS and signed by Mr Babs Usigbe, Chairman, Media Committee, PFN , Benue State.
The statement further added that the Zonal Vice President directed one of the PFN Advisers in the State, Rev. Solomon Adi to withdraw the statement purportedly removing the exco of the PFN in Benue State
Similarly, the General Assembly of PFN Pastors in Benue State on Tuesday at a meeting in Makurdi passed a vote of confidence on the Evangelist Tor Uja-led leadership
Meanwhile, the board of Advisers of PFN in the state has constituted a three-member committee headed by Pastor Dr. Egbe Okpenge to investigate the circumstances leading to the purported removal of the exco.
The committee which has Pastor Olaitan Adebowale and Reverend Goddy Nnadi, has one week to submit its report.
