Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State has described the contributions of the Oba of Benin, Oba Erediauwa, to the development, peace and stability of the state as tremendous.
The governor who paid glowing tributes to the royal father after a courtesy visit to felicitate with him on his birthday, yesterday, said the state is privileged to have such a king of great repute and royal standing.
“He is one of the most outstanding royal fathers in the country. We feel very privileged that we have him as our royal father. You will be surprised that he is abreast with events, not only in Benin City but also across the state. He knows the contractors that are working and the one that is not working. He is also very familiar with current affairs,†he noted.
Comrade Oshiomhole said the Oba had been able to draw his attention from time to time to a variety of issues and offer sincere and fatherly advice.
According to the governor, “I’m here to felicitate with our royal father who is the Chairman of Edo Council of Obas. We are very proud of him and we will continue to celebrate his life and his accomplishmentsâ€.
