Train Kills Lady In Lagos

An unidentified lady was on Tuesday crushed to death by a moving train near Shogunle bus stop in Ikeja, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

 

 

Eyewitness account told P.M.NEWS on Friday afternoon that the light complexion lady at about 6.45pm on that fateful day arrived the bus stop on okada from the Maryland end of Ikeja GRA, with the intention of boarding the train, which was moving slowly to Ojokoro, in Ogun state, southwest Nigeria.

 

 

According to an Okadaman at the Shogunle Unit of the Okada Union, the lady was asked by some young men already on the train to stretched out her hands to assist her to board the moving train.

However, luck ran out on her as the train began to move at full speed at that point, which made the lady to miss her steps, stumbled and fell and was crushed to death by the train, said the okada rider, who simply identified himself as Ekpo from Akwa Ibom state.

 

 

Samuel Jinadu, Lagos state police spokesman said he has not yet been officially brief by the police in Shogunle on the incident.
